How to Log In to NDAX: A Complete Guide for Desktop & Mobile

NDAX (National Digital Asset Exchange) is a Canadian-based cryptocurrency trading platform that prioritizes security through robust authentication measures . Unlike some platforms that rely solely on email magic links, NDAX uses a traditional username/email and password combination paired with mandatory Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for enhanced security .

Here is everything you need to know to access your NDAX account securely and troubleshoot common login issues.

Part 1: The Standard Login Process (Web & Mobile)

Before logging in, ensure you have your registered email address, password, and 2FA code ready.

To log in on a Desktop Browser:

  1. Navigate to the official NDAX website (portal.ndax.io).

  2. Click the "Login" button at the top right corner.

  3. Enter your Email and Password in the respective fields.

  4. Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.).

  5. Enter the 6-digit verification code from your authenticator app.

  6. Click "Sign In" to access your dashboard.

To log in on the Mobile App (iOS/Android):

  1. Open the NDAX mobile application.

  2. Input your registered Email and Password.

  3. Enter the 6-digit 2FA code generated by your authenticator app.

  4. Tap "Login" to proceed to your account.

Important Note: You cannot log in using your username alone—you must use your registered email address .

Part 2: Alternative Login Considerations (API Access)

For advanced users or traders utilizing bots (like Hummingbot or CCXT), NDAX offers API access. This is not a standard login method but allows programmatic access to your account. You must first log into your account normally to generate API Keys .

Part 3: Troubleshooting Common Login Issues

If you cannot access your account, NDAX provides specific solutions for common problems.

1. "I forgot my username"
Your username is separate from your email address and cannot be changed once created . If you've forgotten it:

  • Click the "Login" button on the homepage.

  • Select "Trouble Signing In"

  • Click on "Remembering My Username"

  • Enter the email associated with your NDAX account and click "Recover Username"

  • You will receive an email containing your username .

2. "I forgot my password"
You can reset your password directly from the login page:

  • Click "Forgot your password?" on the login screen.

  • Enter your account email address and click "Continue"

  • Check your email for a password reset link from NDAX (remember to check your Spam or Junk folder if you don't see it within a few minutes) .

  • Enter and confirm your new password, then click "Save"

3. "My 2FA code is not working"
This is the most common login issue. According to NDAX Support, "most 2FA-related issues are due to the time on your phone being out of sync. There is a two-minute window for 2FA confirmations so if your clock is out of sync beyond that, you will not be able to log in" .

Solution: Go to your authenticator app's settings and sync the time. For Google Authenticator, tap the three dots > Settings > Time correction for codes > Sync.

4. "My account is locked"
NDAX has a strict security policy for failed login attempts:

  • If you enter a password or username incorrectly four times, your account will be locked for 15 minutes .

  • Passwords are case-sensitive—ensure Caps Lock is off.

  • If your account remains locked beyond 15 minutes, contact support@ndax.io for assistance .

5. "I suspect unauthorized activity"
If you notice suspicious login activity, security is paramount. Take immediate action:

  • Contact NDAX support immediately at support@ndax.io

  • Request a 2FA reset (note that this requires a proof-of-identity procedure to ensure you are the registered account holder) .

6. "I changed my phone and lost 2FA"
If you lose access to your authenticator app, you will need to reset 2FA. NDAX takes this seriously as "2FA is your last line of protection from unwanted account takeover." The reset requires identity verification, which may take some time to process .

Part 4: Updating Your Account Information While Logged In

Once logged in, you can manage your account settings:

  • Change Password: Navigate to Account Settings > Change Password. Enter your current password, then your new password .

  • Update Billing Address/Phone Number: Go to Settings > Select the information to update > Click Change and save .

Note: Email address changes cannot be done directly within the platform. You must email support@ndax.io with a selfie holding a handwritten note including today's date and the text "email change" .

Part 5: Security Best Practices

  • Always use 2FA: NDAX requires it for every login—never disable it .

  • Verify the URL: Ensure you are on the official NDAX website before entering credentials.

  • Log out after each session: Especially when using shared or public computers.

  • Use a strong, unique password: Remember that passwords are case-sensitive.
